Like many people, I used lockdown to catch up on outstanding projects. Along with a few collaborative art challenges – a painting every day on a given theme, a limerick competition (!) – I worked on a long-planned self-portrait. Entitled ‘Showing My Workings’, this large piece shows me in the process of building a collage portrait. I finished this during the second lockdown, adding the glue pot, scissors and a few other details. A corner of a previous self-portrait, ‘Red Shirt’, can be glimpsed reflected in the mirror.

The Tudor Pull- Gloriana at Hampton Court
The Tudor Pull- Gloriana at Hampton Court
Recently completed this collage of the Royal Barge Gloriana. I actually started it straight after the Hampton Court Palace piece in 2017, and had just the outline of the boat and a few details in, but ended up putting it aside. I discovered it again last month, and really enjoyed working on it again! This will be shown for the first time at the Landmark Art Fair in October.
